Greetings, everyone. I didn't see any forum or threads dedicated to intros, so I started this one.
Maybe you guys already know each other, but I'm the noob - so...
My name's Dustin. IG: @dkogoes
I'm originally from Tennessee, but I've been living in Germany for the past 20 years. Not sure how much longer I'll be here before moving back to the U.S.
My current ride is a 2015 Ducati Monster 1200 S - but I love all types of motorcycles. I've only been riding for 5 years, but I average around 10,000 km per year. So far I've ridden in 13 countries (USA, Germany, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, France, Italy, Monaco, Luxembourg, Belgium, The Netherlands, England, and Scotland) - 14 if you count riding ATVs in Malta.
I'm a database/application developer by trade. My other hobbies include photography, guitars, and weight-lifting.
I think this club and community have a lot of potential, and I'm happy to be a part of it.
May our roads and skies be always clear. Ride far and be well.
-Dustin

Hello everyone... Great to be a apart of this. I currently ride a 2017 HD Ultra Limited and have worked my way through the ranks of motorcycles over my 30+ years of riding. I have done a lot of riding in the USA, 21 states to date, but sadly only here in the USA and Canada for countries. I hope to change that soon with our trips overseas by renting bikes and seeing the countries that way. Our last trip took us from North Dakota to the coast of Washington, down the coastal highway to L.A., across to the Grand Canyon and Four Corners, then through Colorado via Telluride-Aspen-Colorado Springs-Denver-Windsor, then road north to the Black Hills of South Dakota before heading home again to North Dakota. This was an epic ride... we had everything from hail, rain, fog, blistering heat, forest fires, traffic jams, cattle drives, surfing, wine tasting to absolute perfect weather. The perfect ride in my opinion... I want all those experiences. Anyway sad that my past trips won't work for points but alas I am here to ride like I always have... glad to be here and glad to meet you all. -Tony "TrustysImage"

Hey guys!
Sorry for the delayed response... I've been in a bit of a jam at work, and had to put all focus on that front.
Welcome!!!!! The club is growing little by little with really cool people that love to take the long mile. I'm super stoked to see this grow and built a community that can help each other in the planning and execution of their rides.
Tony, not to worry about your past trips... they ALL count... I mean, at this time and age who wants to lie about their riding score only to get a Motorwolf T-shirt? hahahahaha... If we want to build a solid club, we need to trust each other. We'll take your work for your initial lifetime kilometers, and you can score all the flags of previously ridden States and Countries.
Cheers!
Lobo

Wow thank you "Lobo"... I did not expect that. I can say I have been from one side of the country to the other but only 21 of the states(North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Alaska, Minnesota, Montana, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, California, Colorado) and the only two close countries of USA & Canada. So, that will be nice to have on my vest. I will have to work on the countries more in the future. :-) I watched your travels and loved seeing you make your way to the Artic circle. We lived there for a decade so that was awesome to see. :-) DKOGOES... It took us 12 days to do that trip... I would have liked to have taken much longer but alas work calls at times. :-) Thank you for the welcome gentlemen and talk more soon. :-) TrustysImage

It was a lot of crazy experiences that I would have never done if I had not lived there... miss it a lot sometimes. Middle of nowhere panning for gold with old sourdough, driving through rivers with my truck hundreds of miles from anything civilized, hiking in the middle of nowhere, fishing in the most beautiful yet coldest water areas, and riding up the Dalton highway and never being as isolated as I was on that trip. I miss things like that... On a side not the trip described above on the west coast is me... I wrote that... not sure why it came up as a different person. :-) Tony

That sound epic Tony, how did you deal with the feelings of solitude for so long? was it an issue?... I'm a big time solo type of guy, I can be alone and enjoy myself for long periods of time, yet sometimes it hits like a brick!

You know it was never a problem for me... I can be alone and not have the solitude bother me. It lifts me actually... I take in the beauty of nature and the sounds around me that you do not hear in everyday life... peaceful for me actually. I love to go to places where no one else is around and just enjoy it! :-)
