Hi everyone,
My name is Sebastien, I'm your very first member out in Eastern Canada, based in Sainte-Therese, Quebec. I might also be the first french speaking member of Motorwolf... but don't hold me to it!
Very happy to be here. I see the forum doesn't have a lot of activity, but hopefully as I travel along I'll be able to create some momentum around here. I WILL definitely be keeping my Instagram active though.
A bit of history: I'm 44. When I hit 39, I saw a Honda Fury in an online 'zine, and just ranted about this bike for months... until my wife decided to get me a 40th b-day gift - my motorcycle driver's class. A short year later, I was in. Started by owning a '02 Honda Shadow Sabre VT1100C2. Great bike, rode smoothly. Sold it to a guy who drove 13 hours to pick it up from Sault-Ste-Marie in Ontario. When he did, he bought it outright, went home, then had to tear it apart because the DMV in Ontario stated the bike had been previously damaged and coul;d be used without changing the frame... ouch.
I replaced that bike with my '13 Honda Fury. This is the bike I will own 'til the day I die!
I play music, as a bass player in rock and metal bands. Currently in a Disturbed tribute band and a Rob Halford (from Judas Priest fame) tribute band as well. Been in original bands (EyeInside)... trying to put the finishing touches on a recording studio I'm building in my home.
I am happily married for 11 years soon. My wife was operated on last year for something pretty hardcore, she's doing much better, but these things tend to become Hell On Earth, so overcoming adversity and learning to adapt are things I fully understand. I'm also the proud father of an 8-year old boy who is starting to take to riding, but still falls asleep behind me, hence my need for the bluetooth comm system on my helmet.
I hope to ride to Sturgis, Daytona, to SoCal, through the Badlands, the Tail of the Dragon, the Utah Salt Flats, and possibly Death Valley and Valley of Fire close to Vegas. I also plan to ride all the way down to the Florida Keys pretty soon. And that's just the start!
Hope to meet you in person on the road. See ya out there!
